Phone Home
Phone Home is an interactive art installation I crafted for my “ME 101: Visual Thinking” final project in December 2022.
Tasked with solving a personal challenge, I tackled the act of expressing gratitude through thank-you letters—a task that few college students manage to do admist their busy schedules. Phone Home simplifies the process of sending thank you letters, incorporating every necessary step—the inspiration, the paper materials, the desk, and the mailbox— into one accessible (and very purple) booth.
Supported by funding from the Stanford d.school, I personally constructed the installation in the Product Realization Lab and showcased it outside Stanford’s Green Library, followed by a display at the Graduate School of Business. The installation ultimately mailed over 200 letters, and now serves as a teaching resource in the Stanford course PWR 1SC: Writing & Rhetoric 1: Radical Acts of Art in Public: Rhetoric and Artivism.
